Are there different panel widths as I want a standing seam roof but don't want the seams to be too close together.

Typically you can find a residential from a 12" to 16" and a Commercial panel up to 24". I believe their is one manufaturer that has an adjustable roll former to make any width. As well, I have seen many hand formed custom roofs. It is a function of availability and asthetics vs cost. Shop around with our member manufacturers and I'm sure you'll find a product that meets your needs.

Thanks Al, 16 inches might not be too bad.

From an aesthetics standpoint, I feel that, the narrower (less eave width) a roof, the better off you are using a narrower roof panel to make things "balance" properly and be attractive. Todd Miller
