I have a neighbor with a 1960s single wide mobile home with additions. She is interested in finding a contractor or a do it yourself kit where she can put a standing metal roof over the top of her existing home. I told her I know they make them but where can we find the information. She lives here in Reno Nevada. And does not particlarly want a contractor. She wants to do it herself with the help of us neighbors. She recently became a widow and has several leaks in her old mobile flat roof. Thank you

Chances are that her roof has a very low pitch. This means that you either need a metal roof specifically designed as a mobile home roof-over or you need a mechanically-seamed metal roof.
