What method do you recommend for cleaning low-slope, residential metal roof? Mopping (with what type cleaner?)
steam cleaning? Or pressure cleaning?
Any precautions? And what might be a reasonable cost for about 1500 square feet?

This question is best asked of the manufacturer. Appreciate that there are many differant types of paint systems by differant manufacturers.
A safe solution that we recommend is to mix some liquid TSP with some sunlight dish soap and household bleach (2%). Apply with a garden hose applicator and if some scrubbing is required, use a soft car wash brush then rinse. The TSP will loosen the grime, the dish soap will keep it loose and the bbleach will disinfect and kill any spores.
