Benjamin Moore Paint Co has a computer program that lets you take a digital picture of your house and apply trim colors to see how they look. Any chance there is a program out there to let a homeowner see different roof styles and colors on their home?

Do you have links to the photo simulation pages for the referenced manufacturers. Thank you. Cliff Schneider

www.englertinc.com has a video of their software on the website. It shows how to use it. I think this is an excellent idea and don't think I would replace my roof with a different style without being able to see a picture of it. I requested info on the software but it appears that it might only be available to contractors. I haven't received a reply yet! I am interested in replacing a fake slate shingle that has badly discolored (17 yrs old) and is sliding due to the steep pitch.

I know that at least two of our member manufacturers -- ATAS and Englert -- have this. Other manufacturers may have it as well.

I do not know of anyone offering this "online" for metal roofing. It is a CD ROM you can request from the manufacturers. The software is quite complex actually.

What makes this so complex is the various angles and pitches on roofs. Additionally, various metal roofing systems have different accessories with different looks for roof edges, valleys, etc. Allowing for all of that becomes quite complex. With the rising popularity of metal roofing, you can also often go see metal roofs in your own area.
