Looking for information on the proper installation of screws in a metal roof. I have attached a picture of an installation that I feel can lead to leakage concerns. The screws were installed in the lowest flat section of the metal roof if looking at it in a crosscut veiw. Shouldn't the screws be placed on the top of the smaller raise ridge and of course the large ridges and seams to prevent possible leakage if the rubber seals fail?
You may also note the loose screws.
Thank you.

I've been told more than once that I have a few screws loose. But, enough about my home life ...
Anyway, the final say on this question should always come from the manufacturer of the roofing as you will wnat to install the panels the way they have been engineered and tested to be installed. However, most manufacturers, I believe, will suggest fastening this type of panel on the high ribs.
All Best.
