We had a dura-bloc metal roof installed over a year ago. At the same time we had the roof put on, we added a front porch and it too has the metal roofing. We have two problems: 1) when it rains it leaks from one of the dormers 2)in the winter time the snow accumulate above the garage and slides off in big snow blocks, so much so that it blocks our exit from the garage.
We have contacted the contractor several times in the past year, but he either does not return our phone calls or tells us he will come over, but never does.

My first recommendation is to contact the manufacturer. As President of Dura-loc, I researched our data base and have no record of any contact.
Having said that Dura-loc manufactures several profiles in granular coated, pre-painted and naural finishes so each one has a bearing on snow avalanching. As you have a dormer, I suspect that you have vaulted ceilings and you may be experiencing heat loss which is melting the snow on the upper roof and releasing it. Secondly, it is typical that most leaks in dormers occur on the gable side through the lower window flashing.
If you would forward a couple of photos (elevetion showing the areas of concern) directly to me at [email protected] , I can offer a better opinion. Best please, forward a complete file on the roof; proof of purchase, warranty, contractors name, dates etc along with the photos and we may be able to assist in having the contractor return.
