Hello! We're planning to pop the top of our 100 year old house in two years, but in the meantime, we have a leaky roof! I'm wondering if a metal roof can be reused- i.e. if we replace our existing asphalt shingle roof with a metal roof new, will we be able to remove the metal planks in two years and use that for the roof of our newly renovated house? I realize that the shape of the roof will be a bit different, but I'd like to know if the system is flexible enough to allow this kind of removal and reuse. Thanks!

Many metal roof panels can be carefully removed and re-installed. Exact details on whether and how this can be done would have to be obtained from the manufacturer of the roofing.
