Many of the traditional attic vents can be incorporated into metal roofs. Additionally, many metal roof manufacturers offer matching ridge and/or other vents for their roofs.
I am a believer in the combination of soffit (as intake) and ridge (as exhaust) vents whenever possible.
The exact method of vent installation will vary depending upon what profile of metal roofing you're installing. The roofing manufacturer will be able to provide you with detailed information.

What installation instructions are recommended for using a turbine style vent on my new metal roof. The guys are here taking off my shingles and asked if I wanted to still use the turbine vents, I do, I like the look for my house style. Do you have any advise on how they should be installing the turbine vent with the v crimp panels?

There are flexible steel and rubber boots which can be used for this. They are easily contoured to the roofing profile and are sealed with butyl rubber.
Also, always obtain complete instructions from the roofing manufacturer.
