I was wondering if there is a difference in energy efficiency for different colors of metal roofs. For example: red vs. white? Thank you for any info you may be able to provide.

Generallyl, lighter color roofs are more reflective. However, energy efficiency can also be obtained by designing airspaces and ventilation into the system and even integral radiant barriers beneath the roof.
Also, some metal roofing manufacturers are using heat reflective pigments in their coatings whichm even in darker colors, reflect radiant heat.

This website is owned by a coalition of metal roofing manufacturers. I know that at least one of our member manufacturers has insulation-backed shingles. That is Classic Products. However, the R Value of these backers is pretty low -- probably no more than 2 or 3. You would need to contact the inidividual manufacturers to find out their distribution in your area.
