I am building a cabin and will be putting a metal roof on soon. I have been talking to some metal roof installers and have a question for all you experienced with metal roofs. It involves whether or not lathing is nedded when installing metal on top of sheathing. Some installers say yes because it prevents "sweating" that may damage your sheathing. Others say no because it creates unsighlty lines visible in the metal itself. The roof itself has a 12/12 pitch with a shed roof section on the proch with a 4/12 pitch. I plan on using 5 V crimp steel roofing. I need some help with this as I will be ready for a roof SOON! Thank You all in advance.
