I have a home that is approximately 70 years old. The metal roof has been tarred over because of a previous roof leak, which we estimate to have been from about 7 years ago. We only bought the house 2 years ago, and were hoping we would get some longevity from the roof. Unfortunately, the roof is leaking again in the same location as the first roof leak - or what we were told is where the previous leak was. My question is, should we fix the leak again or replace the roof?

I am so sorry. I understand your situation but cannot possibly give you any good advice sight unseen. I would suggest using this website to find an experienced metal roofing contractor in your area who can come look things over and give you an opinion.
